One Person, One Flower Scheme

 

 In order to cultivate students' awareness in environmental protection and to develop a sense of responsibility and self-care ability, the school will give a potted plant to each student. The plants are provided by The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), under the “One Person, One Flower Scheme”.

 

  1. Type of plant: Pansy (Viola tricolor)
  2. Characteristics of the plant: Pansy is commonly known as wild pansy, or heartsease. It is a common European wild flower. It is classified under the genus Viola of the family Violaceae. It has been well cherished by flower lovers for its brilliantly coloured flowers, charming forms and long flowering period. The flowers can be purple, yellow and white. Each flower has 5 petals.
